You Can Make a Difference
I need your help, and any effort you can offer is appreciated. There are many opportunities to get involved. Volunteering isn't just a worthwhile thing to do — it's also fun! Here are some suggestions:- Register as a supporter. Use the Register as a Supporter link to let me know that you are available to help. Be sure to send me your e-mail address so we can let you know what is happening with the campaign. (Your e-mail address will never be shared with others.)
- Tell someone you know. Please talk to your family and friends. If you know me, tell your friends how and why you trust me. If you don’t know me well, come to a campaign event and bring your friends to meet me. Send e-mails to your friends to remind them to vote, and send them the URL from my website.
- Help with fund-raising. Financial support is vital to a successful campaign. Make a contribution, and ask your family and friends to contribute. Sponsor a neighborhood barbeque as a fund-raising event, where I can come meet your friends.
- Register to Vote. If you are not registered to vote, register now! Make sure that all your friends and relatives are registered to vote.
- Advertise. A simple bumper sticker can be seen by hundreds of people every day. Come by the campaign headquarters to pick up some yard signs for your property, and also ask your friends and relatives to post a sign in their yards.
- Invite me. If you are involved in any groups or organizations, please call my campaign office and invite me to be your guest at your next meeting. Please invite me to join you at any functions you may attend – Kiwanas, Lions, Jaycees, Optimists, Book of the Month Club, PTA meetings, graduations, weddings, etc. I may not be able to attend every function, but I will attend as many as possible.
- Volunteer. There is a lot to do, and I would appreciate it if you could volunteer a couple hours each week on things like stuffing envelopes, delivering materials, driving voters to the polling places, etc.
- Walk with me. As we get closer to the election, I will be going door to door to meet people in many of the precincts. I would love your company!
